  • Gingerbread

    Gingerbread is the leading national charity working with single parent families. Since 1918, it has been at the forefront of shaping policy and services that support single parents. Today, there are two million single parent families in the country. Gingerbread champions their voices and keeps their needs at the heart of all it does.

  • Single Parents Action Network

    SingleParents.org.uk brings together essential information, expert advice, interactive learning, multi-media content, links to other support organisations and news for anyone who is parenting alone.

  • Citizens Advice

    This network of independent charities offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. It is for everyone and people rely on the organisation because it is independent and totally impartial. Help includes advice on consumer rights and support witnesses in courts .

  • The Working Parent

    The Working Parent is an advice portal full of useful tips, resources and links to make life that little bit easier for working parents. Our aim is to give you the confidence to balance your career alongside the everyday challenges that parenthood brings.

  • Only Mums

    It supports parents who are struggling to make the best decisions for their family during separation and divorce. They do this by providing a neutral support space, commission and publish articles, campaign on initiatives, run the Green Phone initiative and deliver child-focused training.

  • Universal Credits

    Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs. It’s paid monthly - or twice a month for some people in Scotland.

    You may be able to get it if you’re on a low income, out of work or you cannot work. This could be your lifesaver if you’re struggling.
